How many tickets are available?

There will be a maximum number of 6000 raffle tickets sold. There is no limit on the number of tickets that one Eligible Participant can purchase. There will be a maximum number of tickets sold per transaction. Every ticket will be issued with a discrete number assigned by the raffle program and that number is not repeated. If an Eligible Participant buys more than one ticket, each ticket will have a different number on it. The actual ticket number will be emailed to the email address provided by the Eligible Participant. Sponsor is not responsible for any lost or misdirected email. If an Eligible Participant does not receive your raffle tickets via email within 48 hours after purchase, they should email Sponsor at raffle@kcairshow.org Purchase of a raffle ticket is not a ticket for admission to the KC AIR SHOW. Admission tickets for the 2021 KC Air Show are a separate purchase.

Who are the beneficiaries of the raffle?

The selected beneficiaries of the raffle are KC Air Show Charities and Children’s Mercy Kansas City. KC Air Show Charities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports aviation-focused STEM educational programs in the Kansas City area and Children’s Mercy Kansas City is one of the nation’s top pediatric medical centers with not-for-profit hospitals in Missouri and Kansas, and numerous specialty clinics in both states.

What is the value of the car?

The total approximate retail value of the Ford Mustang “Wide Body” Super Snake Shelby “Blue Hornet” is $152,405.00.

Do I have to pay taxes?

Taxes, registration, and insurance are the Raffle Winner’s responsibilities. Sponsor will pay on Winner’s behalf, an estimate of the required withholding and tax due to the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Kansas (if applicable) with respect to the Raffle. Winner is responsible for the reporting and payment of all federal, state, and local taxes (if any) and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified. The winner must also provide a taxpayer identification number and/or social security number to KC Air Show Charities.

Do I need to have insurance for the car?

Taxes, registration, and insurance are the Raffle Winner’s responsibilities. KC Air Show Charities expressly disclaims any responsibility and raffle entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless KCASCI and any other entity involved in the development and administration of the raffle and their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents, from and against any and all claims, actions, demands and/or liabilities for injury/death, damage or loss to any person or property relating to or arising in connection with participation in this raffle, the delivery and/or subsequent use or misuse of the prize awarded.

Is the purchase of a raffle ticket tax deductible?

Under Internal Revenue Service law, the cost of a raffle ticket is not deductible as a charitable contribution. The raffle is organized by KC Air Show Charities and net proceeds will be shared by the selected beneficiaries, KC Air Show Charities and Children’s Mercy Kansas City.

Are there any prize substitutions?

One (1) winner will receive a 2020 Shelby Super Snake with Wide Body Option. No substitution or transfer of prizes or cash redemption is permitted. There will be no substitutions if the winner is unable for any reason to use or accept the prize. Taxes, registration, and insurance are Winner’s responsibility. Sponsor will pay on Winner’s behalf, an estimate of the required withholding and tax due to the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Kansas (if applicable) with respect to the Raffle.

When is the car being raffled off?

The drawing of the winner of the raffle will take place on June 29th, 2021 at a location designated by KC Air Show Charities. Raffle ticket purchasers will be informed of the designated location in advance of the drawing.

Are there any refunds or exchanges?

All sales are final and once purchased are not eligible for refunds or exchanges. The KC Air Show Charities Raffle is open to persons: (i) who are age eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry (ii) with valid state-issued driver’s license at the time of entry; and (iii) are a legal resident of a state where Raffle participation is legal (“Eligible Participants”). The raffle is also not valid outside of the USA. Void where prohibited by law.

Do you have to be present to win?

One winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the entry period. You do not have to be present to win but the potential winner must meet all eligibility requirements. The winner will be required to provide the winning ticket in person at a location as designated by KC Air Show Charities. The winner will be responsible for any expense in redemption of prize and subsequent travel to Kansas City. Once the prize is redeemed, the winner will be responsible for any costs to moving the prize to any location outside of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Am I responsible for getting the car if I win?

The winner will be required to provide the winning ticket in person at a location as designated by KC Air Show Charities. The winner will be responsible for any expense in redemption of prize and subsequent travel to Kansas City. Once the prize is redeemed, the winner will be responsible for any costs to moving the prize to any location outside of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Winning the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all .requirements set forth in the Official Rules listed on the ticket page. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by alternate random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries and an alternate winner may be selected at KCASCI’s sole and absolute discretion if: (i) any prize notification is unable to be made after reasonable attempts or returned as undeliverable; (ii) a potential winner declines his or her prize; (iii) a potential winner fails to comply with any of the Official Rules; or (iv) a potential winner does not respond to notification or accept the prize within forty-eight (48) hours

Can I see the car before I purchase a raffle ticket?

Once the vehicle has been finished at Shelby American, it will be returned to Kansas City sometime in January 2021 for display at Thoroughbred Ford. The vehicle will be transported back to Kansas City by Reliable Carriers, North America’s largest enclosed auto transport company. The vehicle will be available to view at Thoroughbred leading up to the raffle drawing on June 29, 2021.
